Group Therapy
There is something to be said about the power of group therapy. Although individual therapy can be a safe and supportive space for healing in and of itself, group therapy can uniquely magnify this by also helping to normalize the lived experience of suffering which, as such, can transform our relationship with suffering. I have facilitated several therapy groups over the years, including meditation/mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), grief & loss, cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) and chronic pain (CBT-CP), tobacco cessation, and women's groups.
If you are considering immersing in group therapy, I currently offer therapy groups within Thru Health's programs, including a Change Agents group focused on values, intentions, and goal setting, and a Functional Families group focused on fostering healthy relationships.
You can also join me weekly in a multimodal type of group therapy at Chuze Fitness in Garden Grove on Saturdays at 9:15am, where I teach Body Pump. Physical fitness has transformative power in boosting and refining mental fitness and as a holistic practitioner I highly encourage regular exercise which acts as a natural antidepressant and anxiolytic.
